Aloha People!! It’s August now, in a few more months, we will be preparing for a new year again. I had been asking this every month but still I wanna ask again because this is very important! How are you living 2017?? Are you still on track to what you set out to do or you are already on the sideline waiting for New Year New Resolutions? No matter what, pick up whatever you had left undone and begin moving again, August is the month where transformation is going to take place. Wheeeeeee!!!
I am kind of into Astrology, although I had yet to fully master the knowledge to all the Star’s & Planetary movement or theory, I do know a few things that is happening around which directly or indirectly affects some of us. In August, there are quite a few movements in the solar systems, if you had been falling sick, feeling unwell, emotional or things are getting out of hand. Take this chance now and BREATH!! Really deep breathing please and let everything go… Alright, let’s do this one more time, Inhale……… Deep…. Exhale….. ahhhhh!! Thank you.
I will like to call August the Transformation month, a month where human beings on earth undergoes a big transformation in life. All your feeling sick, unwell or emotional are just shedding of past baggage that are holding you back to begin living your life. This is a time where you can choose to just embrace that uncomfortable feeling, consciously letting go of all the past events, acknowledge that everything is great and trust that you are getting awesome every moment.
I like to share something in my class or workshops, breathe is the most important thing in our life because without it, I don’t think you can survive more than 5mins. I believe that to create the transformation in our life, we first begin by changing the way we breath. I begin my life changing journey when I first attended a class about Breathwork, I got to experience how breathing can create stimulations and changes to my body and I remember after that class, I went back home feeling totally different, I felt totally alive again! From then on, Breathwork had always been in my weekly schedule! Over the last 4 years, all the practices that I did, whether it’s meditation, Kundalini yoga or Breathwork, everything is back to breathing, my life had transformed because of all the breathing exercises I did. Even now, whenever I felt imbalance or down, the first thing I do is actually coming back to my breathing again. And I like to say again, when you change the way you breath, you change the way you live!!
This month I am going to share with you one simple yet effective breathing technique that I practice. This technique is call 05 Count Breath, it helps to balance the body state back to peace in less than 5 mins.
First, sit comfortably and ensure your whole body is relax. Watch your inhale and exhale, slowly and gently, begin exhaling out, as you exhale, pull your tummy in towards your spine. Follow by inhale, allow your tummy to protrude out and fill up your tummy with as many air as you can. Repeat this for a few more rounds.
Let’s begin doing 5 count breath, stretch your Inhale slowly over 05 counts, Inhale… 02… 03… 04… 05…, Hold the breath… 02… 03… 04… 05…, Exhale… 02…. 03… 04… 05…, Hold the breath 02… 03… 04… 05…. Well done, you had completed one cycle, you can practice this as many cycle as you want, I normally suggest doing it for at least 05 cycle, you will experience a big difference in your state after that.
